Two-day workshop with SFPS Student Wellness Action Team and Santa Fe Prevention Alliance to train them on the use of social media as a community engagement tool as well as part of the overall strategic planning mission.

  • SCORE Santa Fe and Northern NM- May 2016

Three hour technical and strategic workshop for 50 people of various skill levels focusing on social media best practices along with an overview of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and intensive focus on Facebook advertising.

  • Social Santa Fe - January 2016

All day strategic workshop for 40 people of similar skill levels which was held in collaboration with Cherry Pie Social. Focus on social media best practices, case studies, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter usage. Practical mini-workshop offered at the end of the workshop where attendees toured the Drury Plaza Hotel and Eloisa and then posted to their social media accounts using their newly learned skills.

  • Santa Fe Opera - Summer 2015 & 2016

Five Instameet events held on the final dress rehearsals for The Daughter of the Regiment and Rigoletto in 2015, and Girl of the Golden West, Don Giovanni, and Romeo et Juliette in 2016, the Opera’s 60th anniversary season. These events included behind-the-scenes tours, production and creative team presentations, and special special media seating for the performances, at which photography was allowed for the first time in the history of the Santa Fe Opera. A photography exhibit created in collaboration with Curate Santa Fe is currently on view at Iconik Coffee Roasters through 8/27 celebrating the photos created during the Instameets and in recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the Santa Fe Opera. #SFOInstaMeet #SFO60

Instameet held in celebration of the grand re-opening of the La Fiesta Bar & Lounge at the historic La Fonda on the Plaza. Attendees enjoyed connecting with other members of the Instagram community, touring the hotel, and creating content for a photo contest through which prizes were awarded. #FoolHarvey

    • Go For Baroque Photo Competition and Photo Exhibit- May 2016

Instagrammers were challenged to capture the Go For Baroque design event through a photo competition. A subsequent photo exhibition was held at David Richard Gallery with five photographers selected to show their photo series of the event for a chance to be awarded the “David” award by popular voting. #GoForBaroque

    • Emerge Santa Fe InstaMeet and Photo Exhibit - January 2016 to February 2016

InstaMeet held in celebration of the grand opening of the David Richard Gallery’s new location and their DR Projects program for emerging artists. Photographers visited the gallery to make art with art which resulted in a subsequent photo exhibition judged by Cody Hartley, Peter Frank, Howard Rutkowski and Mary Dinaberg. Partial proceeds of print sales from the exhibit benefitted the Strangers Collective. #EmergeSantaFe

  • Santa Fe Arts Commission - December 2015

Social media workshop held in conjunction with the SFAC exhibition “Narcissus, The Portrait in the Digital Age” where the concept of selfies and portraits were explored through a “Selfie Scavenger Hunt” in collaboration with the Strangers Collective. #NarcissusGram

In honor of @SimplySantaFeNM reaching 5,000 Instagram followers, a juried Instagram photography exhibition was produced and shown in the gallery space at Art.i.fact.

  • Canyon Road Merchants Association - May 2015

Instagram Scavenger Hunt in conjunction with the Passport to the Arts event in the Canyon Road art district. Participants searched for clues for a chance to win prizes. The clues were designed to educate the public about art terminology and various art forms, as well as give them an opportunity to meet and engage with artists & gallery owners. #CanyonRoadPassport

@SimplySantaFeNM was the official media partner for the 2016 Edible Santa Fe Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown. The #EdibleSmackdown Social Media Photo Contest encouraged community members to patron the participating Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown restaurants for a chance to win prizes.

#TaosShakes - August 2016

Social media photo contest around the 2016 Alabama Shakes concert where participants were encouraged to visit participating local businesses in Taos for chances to win prizes donated by the local businesses.  During this time period, Simply Social Media was also hired to manage the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the City of Taos to ensure a successful campaign and consistent message.

#DiscoverDeVargas  - June 2016

Instagram photo contest to celebrate the grand reopening of the DeVargas Center in celebration of new businesses who relocated from the Sanbusco Center. Participants were asked to Discover DeVargas through photography for a chance to win gift certificates to local DeVargas Center stores. During this time period, Simply Social Media was also hired to manage the Facebook page of the DeVargas Center to ensure a successful campaign and consistent message.

#SaveWaterSantaFe  - May 2016 to June 2016

Instagram photo contest on the importance of saving and sustaining Santa Fe’s water supply. Participants were asked to create imagery centered on conserving water for the future and how water is essential to daily life. The winning image will be prominently displayed on the Water Conservation signage throughout the city of Santa Fe coming this fall.
